Marriage is a beautiful gift from God that ultimately is for God and for our good (whether you are married or not). Needless to say, our great enemy hates all that God loves and it is no surprise that marriage is being redefined, devalued, and despised in our day. Along with this, in our lives, work and parenting can choke out the reality and calling of the sacred vows we made to our spouses, and our marriages can coast instead of being intentionally nourished. This is why FBC is preparing this marriage retreat, and why we would like you and your church to be part of it.  We do encourage single brothers and sisters to attend as well, as the teaching on marriage will encourage those desiring to be married, help them encourage their friends who are married, and/or help them think of heavenly realities—the very things marriage points to.
